Are We There Yet is a 9-week series where kids will take a road trip through the life of Moses. They will discover that the road of life is full of detours and decisions, but we have God to help us navigate all the twists and turns.

Series Verse: “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.” (Deuteronomy 7:9 NIV)

Week 1

  • Bible Story – Moses Begins His Journey (Exodus 2:1-10)

Week 2

  • Bible Story –  Moses on the Run (Exodus 2:11-25)
  • Today’s Takeaway – God will take care of me even when things don’t go as I planned.
  • Weekly Verse – “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 NLT)

Week 3

  • Bible Story – Moses Heads Back to Egypt (Exodus 3-4:17)
  • Today’s Takeaway – God can use me even when I don’t feel good enough.
  • Weekly Verse – “It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.” (2 Corinthians 3:5 NLT)

Week 4

  • Bible Story – Moses and the Plagues (Exodus 7-11:10)
  • Today’s Takeaway – God’s plan is powerful, but it may require patience.
  • Weekly Verse – “But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.” (Romans 8:25 NLT)

Week 5

  • Bible Story – Moses and the Israelites Take a Detour (Exodus 13:17-14:31)
  • Today’s Takeaway – God will always go before me and lead the way.
  • Weekly Verse – “You go before me and follow me. You place Your hand of blessing on my head.” (Psalm 139:5 NLT)

Week 6

  • Bible Story – Moses and the Israelites Stop for Food  (Exodus 16:1-31)
  • Today’s Takeaway – God wants me to listen and follow His instructions.
  • Weekly Verse – “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27 NLT)

Week 7

  • Bible Story – Moses Receives God’s Instructions (Exodus 20:1-17; Deuteronomy 5:1-22)
  • Today’s Takeaway – God wants me to love Him and love people.
  • Weekly Verse – “If you love Me, obey My commandments.” (John 14:15 NLT)

Week 8

  • Bible Story – The Israelites Get Distracted  (Exodus 32:1-26)
  • Today’s Takeaway – God wants me to focus on Him and lose the distractions.
  • Weekly Verse – “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” (Colossians 3:1 NLT)

Week 9

  • Bible Story – Moses Sees Their Destination (Numbers 20:1-13; Deuteronomy 32:48-52)
  • Today’s Takeaway – God will always forgive, but there will still be consequences.
  • Weekly Verse – “But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (1 John 1:9 NLT)
